| Shared services are a viable and proven approach in the Federal sector. The key question has shifted from whether to move to shared services, to how to improve the readiness of my organization for change, what services to employ and how to ensure the move is done well. A wide range of shared services are in use that include the operation and administration of the system but also services for processing core transactions and generating reports. Senior leaders will engage in a dialog on what the true value proposition is, what it takes to achieve these gains and what they need to do to position themselves for success.
